Mayor Darrell Pickett announcing Burkes Outlet coming to Glasgow
Mayor Darrell Pickett held a press conference on August 10th to announce Burkes Outlet locating to Glasgow in the Barren River Plaza Shopping Center. Mayor Pickett was pleased to say that Burkes Outlet is seeking applicants and information can be found on their web site; www.burkesoutlet.com

Mayor Pickett introduced local businessmen Larry D. Glass (left) and Pat Vann (right). Mr. Glass & Mr. Vann are the new owners of the center. Mr. Glass stated, "If the prospects and interest in this center come to fruition, expect to have several hundred new jobs for people in this area".
 
Mr. Glass told those in attendance that the ones locating in the center would be both business and retail establishments. The soft opening for the store is planned for October 15th and the grand opening is planned for November 15th.
