THE RACE
COURSE: |
The 5 Mile Race runs through flat to gently rolling
blacktop lanes. Aid and water stations will be located at the 2nd and 4th
markers. Race officials will direct and supervise the course at each
intersection and turn. Each race starts and finishes on the Glasgow City
Square. |

The Turkey Trot 5 Mile Race, Mile Run
and Mile Walk will offer all participants a great runner's package,
including:
- Custom designed running T-shirts to be issued to
all registrants.
- Taco Bell and McDonald's coupons will be included in each
packet.
- Free blood pressure and blood sugar stations will
be provided by T. J. Samson Community Hospital Staff.
- Refreshments will be available to all runners and
walkers.
- Prize drawings for cash and merchandise -- all
participants eligible to win, but must be present to win.
- Individual 5 Mile results will be mailed to all
finishers.

REMINDERS:

- All Races will be held on Sunday, November 1st,
2009 at : Gobbler Gait - 2:15 p.m. (approx. 1/2 mile course), for 7 yrs. old
and under ONLY; One Mile Fun Run - 2:30 p.m.; One Mile Walk - 2:35 p.m., 5 Mile
Turkey Trot - 2:45 p.m.
- THERE WILL BE DAY OF THE RACE REGISTRATIONS AT THE RECREATION CENTER ON THE SQUARE FROM 11:00 A.M. TO 1:45 P.M. ONLY!
- Runners must pick up their running packets
between 11:00 A.M. - 1:45 P.M. Sunday, November 1st. Packet pickup will
close PROMPTLY at 1:45 P.M.
- The Recreation Center has restrooms and change area
facilities.
- Prize drawings will be held preceding trophy
presentations. All participants are eligible but must be present to win. All
drawings and trophies will be given away in the city building.
- The Recreation Center on the Square will be open from
11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. to accept entries on Saturday, October 31st.
- T-shirts guaranteed for pre-register. Day of race
according to availability. Order at your expense.

Female:
18 and under; 19-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50 to 59; 60-69; 70 and above. Age divisions adjusted for 3 or
more entries. SPECIAL AWARDS TO: Top male 5 miler; top female 5 miler; overall male and
female mile winners; overall male and female walk winners; overall male and
female Gobbler Gait winners; most mature male and female and the youngest male
and female participant; and the most loyal race participant.
