On May 14th, 2013 Mayor Rhonda Trautman and County Judge Executive Davie Greer declared the week of May 12-18 to be Hospital Week in Glasgow Kentucky. The executive team from T.J. Samson Community Hospital was present as Mayor Trautman and Judge Greer signed the proclamation urging residents to express their appreciation for the people, facilities and technologies that make trustworthy, reliable health care possible in our community. The official theme for Hospital Week is “A Guiding Light for Changing Times”.  Individuals across the country will be celebrating this time-honored event.  The week is to show respect for the hard working people that compose our hospitals and to show universal regard and appreciation for keeping our community healthy.

Dr. Mody Stained Glass "Joy" To be Raffled Off

County Judge Executive Davie Greer and Mayor Rhonda Trautman look on as Dr.Bharat Mody unveils his stained glass creation titled "JOY".  Dr. Mody created this work of art to be raffled off for "Children's Day" in Barren County.  The artwork will be displayed at many businesses throughout Glasgow and the winning ticket will be drawn at the Childrens' Day Celebration to be held at the Plaza Theatre on November 20th.  Everyone is invited to attend.

National Boys & Girls Club Week

The young people of Glasgow and Barren County, KY are tomorrow's leaders. Many such young people need professional youth services to help them cope with a wide range of social and financial hardships. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Glasgow/Barren County, KY will celebrate National Boys & Girls Club Week, Monday, April 16th thru Friday April 20th, along with some 4,000 Clubs and more than 300,000 young people nationwide.
