The Glasgow
Police Department is dedicated to the citizens of Glasgow. Our department is
made-up of 48 employees which include 36 sworn Police Officers, 8
Telecommunications Operators, and 2 Traffic Control Officers. The Police
Department employees are trained and certified through the Kentucky Department
of Criminal Justice Training which ensures the citizens of Glasgow that it's
Police Department is held to the highest standards of proper skill, training
and professionalism.
The Glasgow
Police Department is a combination of several different divisions to better
ensure proper protection, service and safety. The department consist of a
Patrol Division, a Detective Division (CID) with 3 full time detectives, a
Critical Emergency Response Team (CERT) who are specially trained to handle
high risk situations. The department has a Public Information Officer, as well
as a Drug Education Officer (DARE) who visits the local schools and presents
the D.A.R.E. Program to local students. The Telecommunications Division of our
department dispatches call for many different agencies. The Telecommunications
Division, along with the 911 Center, has the most modern and up-to-date system
available which includes the Cad system, LINK/NCIC, and mapping system. The
department also provides an Honor Guard and Bagpiper for many local events.
Each of these officers, as well as my administrative staff, work hard to ensure
that the City of Glasgow is provided with the best in Law Enforcement. I am
honored to be the Chief of Police and to serve such a fine department. It is
our pleasure to serve and protect all who live, work and visit our wonderful
city everyday.
