Glasgow Police Department is seeking applicants for

 CERTIFIED FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICERS
 AND
 CERTIFIED AUXILIARY POLICE OFFICERS

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must not have peace officer status revoked in any state
  • Must not be prohibited from carrying a firearm
  • Completed application must include: Copy of Driver’s License, Birth Certificate, Military Discharge Papers (DD-214) and Proof of Education)
  • Must be able to successfully complete: Physical agility assessment, Background Investigation (Criminal history check, credit check, employment history, references, no felony record)

Glasgow Fire Department is seeking qualified people for the position of

  FIREFIGHTER  

Qualifications are:

  •  Must be a United States Citizen,
  •  Must be 21 years of age 
  • Must have completed High School or G.E.D.
  •  Must have a valid KY driver’s license (or able to obtain before 6 month probation period is up)
  •  Must complete and successfully pass the CPAT (candidate physical agility test).

Must be able to pass:

  • A written test
  • Successfully climb without stopping up or down a 75' ladder exercise.

The City of Glasgow is now accepting applications for the position of Telecommunicator for the Communications Department. All applicants must have graduated from an accredited high school or its equivalent (G.E.D.); Must be certified as a Telecommunicator in the State of Kentucky or must obtain certification within one (1) year of date of employment; Be at least eighteen (18) years of age; Be a United States citizen; Not have been convicted of a felony; Possess well-developed listening communication skills; Be able to work a varied schedule; Pass a drug test.

The City of Glasgow is now accepting applications for the position of Official/Scorekeeper for Parks and Recreation Department. Applicant must have graduated from an accredited high school or its equivalent (GED). Experience in dealing with all ages of people; Officiating/Scorekeeping a variety of sports/programs. Ability to pass a physical examination; Possess a valid driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky; Ability and willingness to work flexible and irregular work schedule; Must consent to and pass a criminal background check; Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
