Glasgow Fire Department is seeking applications for the position of:

                                                             FIREFIGHTER

 

Minimum Requirements include:

 Must be a U. S. Citizen,

 Must be 21 years of age,

 Must have a high school diploma or equivalent,

 Must have a valid driver’s license,

 Must be able to successfully complete:

 A written test

 A CPAT TEST (Candidate Physical Agility)

 A required 75 foot ladder exercise

 The City of Glasgow is now accepting applications for the position of Stagehand – Plaza Theatre. Applicant must have experience in working in a high pressure, deadline based environment. Experience in the fields of theatre, concert production, carpentry and electricity. Must be able to pass a physical examination; Possess a valid driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky; Ability and willingness to work flexible and irregular work schedule; Must consent to and pass a criminal background check.

Applicant must have graduated from an accredited high school or its equivalent (GED). Experience in dealing with all ages of people; Officiating/Scorekeeping a variety of sports/programs. Ability to pass a physical examination; Possess a valid driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky; Ability and willingness to work flexible and irregular work schedule; Must consent to and pass a criminal background check; Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.

POLICE OFFICER

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must not have peace officer status revoked in any state
  • Must not be prohibited from carrying a firearm
  • Completed application (include copies of driver’s license, birth certificate, military discharge papers (DD-214) and proof of education)
  • Must be able to successfully complete:

•  Physical agility assessment

•  Background Investigation:

(Criminal history check, credit check, employment history, references, no felony record).

•  Psychological assessment

•  Polygraph exam

•  Drug screening

•  18 week of Basic Training with DOCJT

LAW ENFORCEMENT TELECOMMUNICATOR

 The City of Glasgow is now accepting applications for the position of Telecommunicator for Glasgow Police Department. All applicants must have graduated from an accredited high school or its equivalent (G.E.D.); Must be certified as a Law Enforcement Telecommunicator in the State of Kentucky or must obtain certification within one (1) year of date of employment; Be at least eighteen (18) years of age; Be a United States citizen; Not have been convicted of a felony; Possess well-developed listening communication skills; Be able to work a varied schedule; Pass a drug test.
