Applicant must have graduated from an accredited high school or GED, possess a valid driver’s license, possess of a valid Class B CDL license with air brakes endorsement or ability to obtain with 90 day, pass a physical examination, safety-sensitive position is subject to passing a pre-employment drug screen test.

Qualifications are:

  •  Must be a United States Citizen,
  •  Must be 21 years of age 
  • Must have completed High School or G.E.D.
  •  Must have a valid KY driver’s license (or able to obtain before 6 month probation period is up)
  •  Must complete and successfully pass the CPAT (candidate physical agility test).

Must be able to pass:

  • A written test
  • Successfully climb without stopping up or down a 75' ladder exercise.

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must not have peace officer status revoked in any state
  • Must not be prohibited from carrying a firearm
