FULL-TIME POSITION JOB OPENING OF: 
RECREATION SUPERVISOR

The City of Glasgow – Parks & Recreation Department – Is now accepting applications for (1) Full-Time Position of Recreation Supervisor Applicant must have graduated from an accredited high school or GED; College degree preferred, but not required, supplemented by three (3) years of responsible experience in recreation administration; Possess a valid driver’s license; Pass a pre-employment drug screen test; Willingness and availability to work an irregular schedule; Pass a physical examination; Requires CPR certification within six (6) months; Subject to background check and annual drivers license check.

Seasonal Lawn/Grounds Maintenance
Glasgow Parks & Recreation (GPR) Department
2017 Season Request for Proposals

The Glasgow Parks & Recreation Department is currently accepting proposals for seasonal lawn maintenance for (GPR) property in Glasgow.  The properties are separated into seven (7) separate contracts and MAY award with seven (7) different mowing businesses For the 2017 season, the “Season” will be April (date to be determined) 2017 – Sept. 29, 2017.

*There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting held on Tuesday March 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the Parks & Recreation Office located at 309 South Liberty Street. During the Pre-Bid meeting, we will physically go to each location to make sure everyone understands & sees the scope of work to be performed*

Persons interested may pick up a bid packet at: Glasgow City Hall, Office of the Mayor, 126 East Public Square, Glasgow, KY 42141 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CDT, Monday through Friday or print a packet from our website: http://cms3.revize.com/…/glasgow/bidding_and_procurement.php

Sealed bids will be received and opened at 3:00 pm on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Glasgow City Hall, Office of the Mayor, 126 East Public Square, Glasgow, Kentucky 42141. Bids shall be enclosed in an envelope clearly marked with: “GPR 2017 Seasonal Lawn Grounds Maintenance, Your Name, Date and Time of Bid Opening”

The City of Glasgow Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any informality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the City of Glasgow.

Glasgow Parks & Recreation Weekly News

 Spring Soccer League Registration

Signups for the Spring Soccer league will begin on Tuesday February 21.  This league is for Boys & Girls ages 5 – 12.    Registration fee is $45, each additional child from the same household will receive a $5 discount on their fee.  The league will begin the in early April.  To sign up, stop by our office Monday – Friday between 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.
